Slimming treatments

to increase the blood circulation, sluggish digestive system, increase poor metabolism to target fat reduction, cellulite, fluid retention and poor skin condition.

What is Ultrasound Cavitation?

Ultrasound Cavitation is a relatively new aesthetic treatment. Using leading edge technology it converts fat cells into liquid which can then be naturally drained by the body’s own natural filtration system. Generally one fat cavitation treatment lasts 25 – 30 minutes where a single part of the body is treated. 72 hours must pass between each session so that the body can eliminate the fat. The minimum suggested* number of fat cavitation sessions is between 6 and 10.

ULTRASOUND CAVITATION: WHAT CAN BE TREATED?

Fat reduction

Body contouring
Skin tightening
Fat melting

Cellulite reduction

Can you lose weight with ultrasonic cavitation?

Cavitation is not a method to lose weight but to reshape the body. It is particularly indicated for the reduction of adipose tissue, the famous “love handles” that won’t go away with diet and exercise. Treatments remove cellulite preventing fat cells from recurring in the treated areas, without damaging the vascular system.

What Are the Expected Instant Fat Loss Treatment Results?

The cavitation treatment yields immediate and long lasting results. Most of the clients experience 2 to 10 cm of circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain the results.

Advantages over other treatments:

• Non invasive treatment
• No need for hospitalization nor anesthesia
• No scars nor long term marking of the skin
• Very little discomfort
• Elimination of the fat through a natural process
• 20-60 min per session
• Affordable

Which are the areas where treatment is more effective?

All those areas with localized fat: thighs, abdomen, flanks, and buttocks are the most popular but there is no real limitation as to areas of the body.

How does Ultrasound Cavitation work?

Your therapist will apply a specially designed hand piece to your skin. The hand piece will then transmit low level ultrasonic waves which consist of compression – expansion impulses that travel in high-speed cycles. This back and forth cycle then causes an infinite quantity of micro-cavities or micro-bubbles that gradually enlarge. This progressive enlargement finishes as micro-bubbles start to collide and implode, producing shock waves that favor emulsification and elimination of fat tissues (this phenomena is called “cavitation”). The liquid is then easily vacuumed out from the body using the lymphatic and urinary system.

Is ultrasound cavitation painful and safe?

No, cavitation is a painless treatment. Mild redness may appear occasionally but will be highly unlikely to cause any actual pain. The heat from the hand pieces felt during the treatment is perfectly tolerable. This treatment is a nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia – it’s non-invasive (no cutting, leaves no scars or the need for any post-operative course) and no downtime should be experienced after the treatment.

Fat is a solid substance right? Can it be eliminated through the urine?

After disruption of adipose cells, the fat in the form of triglycerides is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where they are enzymatic metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as the energy source, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food.

What do I need to do before and after my treatments?

We recommend to drink at least 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day a week before your treatment and at least 1.5 liters of water after the session. Drinking water is a necessary part in order to eliminate toxins. Hydration will help make the treatment a lot more successful. Regular exercise such as walking or other aerobic activities should also be maintained in order to help the system to naturally process the fat after the treatment. Maintain a low calorie diet for a few days after the treatment to ensure that the energy released by the treatment is metabolized by the body. After the treatment patients are able to return to their daily activities as usual.

Number of treatments and treatment frequency for each area

• Ultrasound Cavitation: The minimum suggested* number of fat cavitations sessions is between 6–10 or between 8 and 24 sessions treatments spaced 1-2 weeks apart per specific area. However, you will be able to appreciate the results in few of them.

*We write suggested because every person has a metabolism that reacts different to the treatments. The amount of sessions will also depend of the protocol to follow in a specific area.

How many sessions do I need and how often can I come?

The treatment will usually show an immediate change. We recommend one session per week and not less than 3 to 12 sessions depending on the individual's desired results. A typical session lasts a maximum of 40 to 50 minutes (20 minutes of ultrasound cavitation and 20 minutes of RF) depending on the patient and the area treated. The interval between each session on average is a week.

After the initial treatments are completed, maintenance treatments consist of 1 session each month for 4 months followed by one treatment every 4 months.

Can I Expect Any Side Effects?

There is a slight possibility of mild side effects such as transient redness, excessive thirst, and nausea immediately after the treatment which always resolves by drinking water. They are all short-term effects that disappear in a few hours to a few days. Even though the studies have proven the treatment safe, the cavitation is not be used in clients with an acute illness, comprised liver function, severe bleeding tendencies, pace makers, or during pregnancy.

What are the contraindications of Ultrasonic Cavitation?

Ultrasonic cavitation treatment is not for everybody. Even though it is a safe and painless procedure, nevertheless there are contraindications for using cavitation devices for treatment of localized fat. Such contraindications will depend on the individual’s medical history.
